Sustainable down to the last screw

Packaging & transportation

Our special screws and fasteners reach customers safely - and in an environmentally friendly way. We use recyclable packaging, avoid plastic, reuse filling material and deliberately avoid branded outer packaging. With an average of 413 g CO₂e per shipment, our shipping is well below the industry average of 600-1,100 g. This shows: Sustainability is not just a goal at Güldner - it's a lived practice.

Solar energy for a sustainable future

Energy generation

Our photovoltaic system generates 830 MWh of electricity every year - directly for the production of our special screws and fasteners as well as the e-charging stations on site. This saves us around 580 tons of CO₂ per year. This is roughly equivalent to the amount that 46,000 young beech trees could filter out of the air each year - or the CO₂ emissions of over 4 million kilometers driven by car. We actively promote the use of renewable energies and send a clear signal for more climate protection and responsibility - directly at the site.

Energy efficiency

Energy does not go unused in our production: An intelligent heat exchanger system systematically feeds the waste heat from our machines back into the production process. This lowers energy consumption, reduces CO₂ emissions and shows how well thought-out processes and our "Idea Plus" idea management system combine sustainability and innovation. This is how technical sophistication becomes a real contribution to climate protection - right at the heart of our production.

Less paper, less CO₂: climate-friendly & co-determined

Paper-free

What started with an idea from the team now saves paper, CO₂ and resources: by switching from paper towels to modern electric hand dryers, we avoid around 48,750 meters of paper consumption and over 600 kg of CO₂ every year - that's equivalent to around 3,000 km of driving or the annual CO₂ absorption of 29 trees. The idea came directly from our team - submitted via our "Idea Plus" ideas management system and implemented together. The highlight: the team also decides how the savings are used. In this way, a small idea becomes a big step towards ecological, economic and social sustainability.

Sonderschrauben Güldner is committed to sustainable mobility: electric vehicles are charged with electricity from renewable energy sources - an active contribution to climate protection and green logistics within the company.

Electromobility

With 16 vehicles, 14 of which are fully electric, Sonderschrauben Güldner demonstrates how sustainable mobility works in day-to-day business. The consistent switch to electric vehicles reduces emissions and strengthens our responsibility towards the environment and society.

E-charging

There are 15 charging points in our company parking lot, each with a charging capacity of 22 kW - powered by electricity from our own photovoltaic system. Employees and visitors can charge their electric vehicles conveniently and cost-effectively during their stay at Güldner. In this way, we combine climate-friendly mobility with corporate responsibility - and make sustainable action a tangible part of everyday life.
